GOYeovil

13th - 19th June 2011

Mission Statement

GOYeovil was formed by a group of people whose motivation was trying to find a common factor to get people who live and/or work in Yeovil 'doing' something together: something that could involve either very little effort or a lot of effort. Healthy Living was a popular theme and that was the starting point; it then seemed foolish to have lots of activity going on with no beneficiaries and thus fund-raising became a key factor.

The GOYeovil organisation continues to grow daily as more and more businesses, clubs, organisations and individuals get involved. Active involvement came quickly in the form of support from AgustaWestland, Yeovil College, The Quedam Shopping Centre, Yeovil Town Centre Management, Yeovil Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Yeovil College, D.R. Jones, Mike King of Aztec Media, the Western Gazette, Steve Carpenter of Mid West Radio, our District Hospital, our Hospice, the local NHS Trust, Yarlington Homes, Yeovil Town Road Running Club, Yeovil Round Table, Rotary Clubs and Lions and our Town and District Councils but that list grows daily and the expanding list can be seen in full at on our sponsors and supporters page.

AgustaWestland was the first to offer support at the same time pledging a generous donation to the campaign to help fund the launch events.
